Position Responsibilities:

The Information Technology Specialist is an entry level position responsible to assist the Director of Information Technology in achieving their departmental goals while serving as an assistant to the Director. This individual must ensure that existing technology systems are operating as intended and that the company is adhering to certain protocols, safeguards and controls.  In addition, this individual must ensure that new technology systems are implemented on time and accurately while adhering to the same protocols, safeguards and controls.

The Information Technology Specialist will directly report to the Director Information Technology and work closely with their internal customers( the staff at the corporate headquarters and at our clubs).  The successful candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, high integrity, and strong ability to follow through. This is a two person team who will work closely with the Director of Information Technology to meet or exceed their constituents expectations related system uptime, data protection and access to data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains existing Company network and computers insuring minimal outages and interruptions.
  • Work with outside service providers to define issues and correct them.
  • Establish, promote, and reinforce the Company's IT directives.
  • Installs and maintains software and hardware of club and corporate locations
  • Ability to install and/or service a wide variety of technology including computers, back-ups, laptops, printers, networks, phones, audio and network cabling.
  • Serves as 1st level help desk for Company and utilizes the Company's "E-maintenance" system. Ability to take on work orders with minimal or no direction.
  • Ensures consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Executes production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Will work 50% in field (travel expense reimbursement provided).

 

Skills:

  • 3 - 10 years IT experience, at least 2-3 operating in a multi-location environment.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, network maintenance, MS Active Directory, e-mail services, firewalls and other appropriate software systems.
  • Knowledge of Computer Hardware, and other appropriate technologies.
  • Experience in Help Desk operations, both for Corporate Offices and multi-unit organizations.
  • Experience implementing and supporting technology solutions in a multi-location, geographically diverse environment.
  • Experience working under a set of policies, procedures, and documentation governing best practices for operating an effective IT function.
  • IT certifications or education are a plus.
